 In our branch, we have two different golf groups, Branch 69 River City Golf and 69 Short Course.
69 River City Golf Group: Our normal golf group, with Rick Horn as the director, has two or three tournaments a month, playing on Thursdays or some Tuesdays. We play the city and county courses and many of the other outstanding golf courses in the area, like Teal Bend, Turkey Creek, and Empire Ranch. Our players generally have handicaps between 6 & 36 split into four flights with equal prizes awarded. See 2024 schedule
69 Progressive Golf Club :
We have another group, with Terry Block as the director, that plays two Monday tournaments/monthly at 18 hole short courses like Antelope Greens, Davis Muni, Bartley Cavanaugh, and Wildhawk. This group includes all handicaps. Better golfers improve their short game while higher handicappers enjoy competing with like players for prizes and recognition. Ever heard of FORWARD TEES,???? Greg has some weeks where you can play from forward tees and still post your handicap. Real fun for the shorter hitters. See 2024 shedule
